Julie Picking is the best! My family loves her and she has helped us so much with getting our health back on track. She truly cares about each of her patients and won't rush you or treat you like you're a number. She takes her time to get to the root of the issue so she can give the correct diagnosis. And she listens! Her bedside manner is impeccable and nowadays, that's hard to come by. Julie is an absolute blessing and I have referred family and friends to go see her and they appreciate her as well.

I have had a very positive experience with Vanguard. The healthcare providers truly prioritize their patients' needs, and they have shown exceptional care for my adult son, who is autistic. I want to highlight Mary, the nurse practitioner, who is fantastic! She takes the time to address our concerns during visits and brings a sense of humor that makes the experience more enjoyable. This is the best medical center! All the receptionists are so sweet and helpful. By their attitudes and decorated work space, you can tell it is a positive work environment. The wait time is short and the doctors are very thorough and don’t brush off any questions, like some doctors do. They take their time and make you feel like a priority.

I am so glad I switched to this Dr. I did not have high hopes when switching. I switched because they have an office close to my work and I wouldn’t have to drive so far for crappy medical care when I could get crappy care closer to work, and not have to take off every time I needed to go to the Dr. Much to my surprise, the staff at both the Shafter and Bakersfield locations are consistently kind and helpful. Very great service throughout my whole visit. The girls working at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. Also, the medical assistant was kind and approachable for any questions or concerns I had. Lastly, the nurse practitioner Thomas Collord that I seen for the first was very knowledgeable and informative!
